Start of a Chapter 📖 April 2024 TBR

The Last Unicorn is a classic fantasy novel which I’ve never had the chance to pick up before! After attending Gollanczfest, and seeing in on the stall I decided to pick it up. Wanting to read it sooner rather than later, April seems like the perfect month for this small fantasy novel.

Not a book I would usually pick up, as I generally lean more on the fantasy side of SFF… but Gollancfest gave this for free in their goodie bags and so I do now own it. I’m going to be trying to read this from the comfort of sun filled skies and grass filled places so it doesn’t creep me out too much too 😅

Another goodie bag choice from Gollanczfest, The Phoenix Keeper is an exclusive ARC copy before it’s full release in summer of this year. I’m hoping to read and love it since it includes multiple magical creatures and an enemies to lovers romance.

I’ve been slowly reading the Outlander series for the past year and I’m about halfway through Voyager atm. I’m hoping in April we’ll get a bit more through it and maybe even finish it!

The impossible has been accomplished. The Lord Ruler—the man who claimed to be god incarnate and brutally ruled the world for a thousand years—has been vanquished. I started a Final Empire last year, and whilst I really enjoyed it I needed a break between some of the bigger epic fantasy novels I’d been reading at the time. But April is the month to continue on with the Mistborn Trilogy I think.

There is only one place left to run. The tower of the swallow is waiting…

Another ongoing fantasy series I’ve been enjoying is The Witcher, and I’m now on The Tower of the Swallow. I’m intrigued of watch Geralt and Ciri will get up to next.
