Overall I loved my re-read of Moroda and I’m excited to read and re-read the rest of the series too.
L.L. MacRae
L.L. MacRae is a UK Fantasy author of character-driven stories and epic adventure. Her books usually contrain dragons, rarely feature romance, but are fun and full of hopeful characters on a wild adventure.
MacRae is the author of the World of Linaria series, an epic fantasy that follows a wide cast of characters as they travel (in airships!) across Linaria to try and save people from multiple villains. She's recently starting writing another series called Dragon Spirits too.
On top of epic fantasy, MacRae has dabbled in Urban Fantasy too starting with the Kouzlo Saga.
Uptown Oracle Reads… The Iron Crown | Brand New Exciting High Fantasy with Dragon Spirits
The Iron Crown is L.L. MacRae’s latest fantasy adventure and I loved it just as much as her other books. This world has dragon spirits (completely on-brand for MacRae) who live off the power of certain natural landmarks. For example, there’s the spirit of the ocean, a massively powerful spirit, or the spirit of a specific piece of woodland which is less powerful. I loved the uniqueness of the dragon spirits, and how they interacted with the people of this world too.
Uptown Oracle Reads… Isa | A Princess, a Sky Pirate and a Shapeshifter go on an Astonishing Adventure
Isa is the fourth book in McNeil’s World of Linaria season and I love getting lost in the world she’s built up. Isa focuses on the Princess Isa, with other POVs from characters in the previous books like Palom, Amarah and Sapora.

Uptown Oracle Reads… Amarah | Journey of a Sky Pirate, a Soldier and a Princess
Amarah is the 3rd book in a series that I have loved so far. Both Moroda and Palom brought positives to the table, but I was ready for Amarah to pick up the pace and move towards an overarching storyline and goal.
