Over in the UK we usually get our own bedrooms but I purposely paid extra to get a studio room with a kitchen in as I didn’t want to live with other people! Usually common areas would be shared between around 6 people. Although we pretty much always have to cook for ourselves!

I shared a flat with uni friends & I probably would’ve been better going it alone too, the people were never home so I was left with all this space in a place that wasn’t that nice.
