Dorothy Perkins Clothes Haul | Sweet Summer Dresses and Sandals

As the summer has gone on, the heat in the flat has started to become worse and worse – plus with a lack of quantity for summer clothes I was running out of cool outfits to wear. (The North doesn’t have this sun and heat for this long!). So I decided to do a Dorothy Perkins haul to update my wardrobe.

The first item I want to talk about is the Green Spotted dress which has a square neckline. This is very different to what i’d usually purchase, however I really loved the green colour and the pattern was smething a bit different for me too. Unfortunately, it doesn’t let me live my bra-less forever dream that lockdown gave me as the square cut needs to be filled out a bit. A push up bra may be necessary for me, athough any girls who have boobs should fit well in this.

Then I picked up some Matte Rose Gold sunglasses which have a little pattern on the sides. I’ve got many sunglasses, but these were something a litle different for me to wear(whilst not being too overly the top large like my other gold pair!).

Then we move onto shoes, because who doesn’t love shoes? I grabbed these White Wedge sandals which are perfect for summer days without rubbing between your toes. I picked white because I’ve aleady got so many black strappy heels in sandal like fashion – and I wanted something that looked more casual.

Next up I picked this gorgeous striped tie front dress. This is probably the favourite item I picked up in this haul. The fit, the length and even the comfort of the dress is just amazing. It makes me look good, and it’s fitted around the waist and chest – however it’s still comfy and easy to laze around in. Perfect for summer heat!

Then I had to grab a strappy black sandal (it’s a staple for who I am… despite always wearing the same trainers…). I’ve seen similar for a couple of years to be honest, and I finally forked out for a pair. I am worried the toe loop may hurt, but fingers crossed they will behave themselves.

Then another striped dress – I may have a problem. This one is a lot more casual, and I actually don’t like the fit of it. It’s a bit too loose and baggy, and doesn’t flatter my shape at all. However – it’s pretty comfy and it works well for my flat which gets a bit to hot.

Next is another dress! Really going all out for floaty summer dresses this year! I got this casual strappy khaki dress which has a decorated hem to make it stand out. I can already see it looking perfect with a denim jacket and some sandals whilst walking along the beachfront.

Back to basics, I grabbed anoter halter neck black top to go with jeans and skirts. I’ve already got similar tops, but I feel like I wear plain vests so often, especiallly as it’s been so hot! So this was a quick buy to help bulk up my everyday wardrobe for Zoom calls.

Last but not least I wanted to accessorise! I got this cute multi necklace gold chain which has a litle t-bar link at the front. I’m not huge on jewelry atm, but I wanted something to help brighten up my outfits, and I have barely any gold jewelry at the moment.
