Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette Review | Is It Worth The Hype?

Last week I was talking about the Naked Smoky Palette so this week I thought I’d explain why I prefer the Naked 2 Basics Palette. This is my everyday go-to palette since I got it last year.

First Thoughts

The Naked 2 Basics Palette has 6 shades which have very subtle differences. Because of this, it’s extremely easy to mix and match shades to create different looks. But because they’re all neutral and all but one is matte it’s great for day  looks.

The pigments are easily applied and are both blendable and buildable on your eye lid. Undone’ is the only shade which doesn’t get much use, and that’s purely because it’s too dark for my skin tone – but it works well to touch up eyeliner!

After Use

Because it’s a much smaller palette, it fits into my makeup bag a lot easier. This means it’s perfect for when I’m travelling and the case is durable enough that it hasn’t broken in my bag. Although it’s got less selection of shades, I do find these shades to be much more versatile in their use. So it means I have more options even when I’m on the go.

I  find that the pans hold a lot of product, and so each shade lasts a long time. As you can see in the images, I’ve already been using the palette, but the palette looks nearly brand new still. This makes it have a much better value for money than other palettes I’ve used.

Would I Purchase Again?

I will definitely purchase this again when I run out of product! It’s become a staple in my everyday makeup routine and I don’t know what I would do without it.
